For decades, we’ve gathered here. In the laughter that rolled down corridors, in the midnight cups of coffee that turned strangers into family, in the shares that stayed with us long after the weekend was done. The Heart of England Birmingham AA Convention has always been more than dates on a calendar — it’s where our heart grew, together.
In 2026, we prepare for our 40th anniversary in 2027 by beginning a living archive of our stories, memories, and photographs.
Each year has built on the last, and every voice is part of what’s carried forward.
A small note on the venue
We continue to hold the convention at this venue—a space that has supported us for many years, and one that allows us to come together in the way we always have.
While numbers are not what they once were, we’ve chosen to remain here so that, if and when they grow again, there is still a place ready to welcome everyone.
Bookings made through our Heart of England rate help us hold that space and keep the convention going.
Registration & support
We do ask all attendees to register. This helps cover the costs of running the weekend—from the rooms we gather in to the details that make it what it is.
We keep this as low as possible and are offering a discounted rate for early registration before 15th July, along with the option to book fellowship dinners separately for those not staying on our rate.
Dinner returns in 2026, just as so many asked for in 2025. It’s part of the room, part of the weekend, part of being together again — sitting side by side, sharing the same table, the same laughter, the same heart.
Some will walk through the doors for the very first time. Others will return to the halls where their lives shifted years ago.
All of us will gather in the current of memory, carrying our stories forward to the milestone of 2027.
Bring your stories. Bring your laughter. Bring the love that built this heart.
