For decades, we’ve gathered here. In the laughter that rolled down corridors, in the midnight cups of coffee that turned strangers into family, in the shares that stayed with us long after the weekend was done. The Heart of England Birmingham AA convention has always been more than dates on a calendar — it’s where our heart grew, together.
In 2026, we prepare for our 40th anniversary in 2027 by beginning a living archive of our stories, memories, and photographs.
Each year has built on the last, and every voice is part of what’s carried forward.
This year brings a small change. Visitor passes (passes for people not booked at Hilton on our Convention code) won’t be released as early as in previous years. To ensure our programme and spaces are fully secured, only bookings on our Hilton code will guarantee access to the convention until our room allocation is met. Once this allocation is reached, visitor passes will be reviewed, and released at least one month before the event, based on capacity.
Dinner returns in 2026, just as so many asked for in 2025. It’s part of the room, part of the weekend, part of being together again — sitting side by side, sharing the same table, the same laughter, the same heart.
Some will walk through the doors for the very first time. Others will return to the halls where their lives shifted years ago.
All of us will gather in the current of memory, carrying our stories forward to the milestone of 2027.
Bring your stories. Bring your laughter. Bring the love that built this heart.
